On May 4th 2021, NDH was excited to host special effects guru Dan Martin of 13 Finger FX to talk about Host, Possessor, Colour Out of Space and his collaborations with directors Ben Wheatley, Prano Bailey-Bond, Brandon Cronenberg, Peter Strickland and many more.

Having provided special effects to British cinema for over a decade, Daniel Martin has developed a talent for delivering high quality work that caters to each film's unique budgetary and creative requirements. After cutting his teeth on some of the UK's largest productions- from the Harry Potter series to Batman Begins, Dan opened his own workshop with a clear goal in mind: to make his mark by bringing the breathtaking effects of these blockbusters to Britain's independent scene.

With an ever growing list of credits on award winning films and TV series’ such as Guillem Morales’ prestige mini-series The Minaturist, Sundance hit Lords of Chaos, or Lovecraft horror COLOR OUT OF SPACE and SciFi horror Possessor (for which Dan won the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Creature effects and Best Prosthetic effects, respectively) Dan continues to provide the UK with some of it's most memorable and truly special effects.
