NDH8's guest was Ed Lovelace (June 2015).
D.A.R.Y.L is the creative moniker used by directors Edward Lovelace and James Hall
(sadly James could not be with us as he was in LA). Their debut feature film Werewolves
Across America (CPH:DOX, Raindance) explored life on the fringes of society in modern
America and was released in 2010.
They followed up in 2012 with Katy Perry: Part of Me, a historic and intimate look into
the life of the global popstar. 2014 marked the release of their critically acclaimed third
feature The Possibilities Are Endless (SXSW, Sydney Film Festival, LFF), the devastating,
emotional and visually stunning story of singer/songwriter Edwyn Collins and his journey
following a life-changing stroke.
Ed also spoke about their very human intimate work in music videos,
advertising and commercials (incl. international campaigns for Iceland Tourism,
Diet Coke, Bose, Florence and the Machine and The Vaccines.)
